Salvador Dali - Introducing Art

Within this new topic "Introducing Art"  I want to introduce you especially artists who impress me with their work deeply and inspire me.  First, I say something briefly about the artist and then I'll tell you why the artist impresses me so much
I start with Salvador Dali (1904-1989)

Dali was a Spanish artist. He is known primarily as a painter, but he was also a graphic designer, writer, sculptor and stage designer. Salvador Dali was one of the main representatives of surrealism, but for me he got his own, very personal style . His works often dealt with the dreams and the unconscious.

What I like about Dali is of course his crazy, eccentric style, which is also translated into his paintings. He was a special, special human being.

Now, I would like to introduce you to my favorite pictures of him!

Dali
This image is called Figure at a Window I like the simplicity of the picture and that it still captures your attention. I think he made a very good choice with the perspective of the Picture.

The Persistence of Memory is one of his most famous work and one of the works that fascinates me the most. In particular, the design of the deliquescent clock records this for me.

In the imageThe Burning Giraffe fascinated me the most that the "main subject" of the painting, the burning giraffe, who gives the picture its name, rather stands in the background and still catches your attention.

If I had to choose a single favorite picture of Dali, it would be Metamorphosis of Narcissus. This image combines all the things that make Dali for me. The surreal, his own style, love for details, the dreamy, deep-anchored.

Another all time favorite picture is Swans Reflecting Elephants. The illusion that Dali has created is really unique!

Another typical Dali works, Soft Self-Portrait with Fried Bacon. Yet the name alone is worth a mention!

Salvador Dali Meditative Rose 1958 picture
And last but definitely not least, The Meditative Rose. A beautiful work of Dali that deserves much more attention!
